Things I have learned so far in University – December 4, 2024
We are finishing up the semester and getting ready for the final next week. This is my first semester in university and here are the things I have learned found out so far about college. First thing I found out is how much the course calendar/syllabus is important, going through them carefully in the very beginning of the course will make a big different, it’ll set you up for the whole semester. Do not check it occasionally, you will have to check it every day and carefully. Knowing what is in the calendar/syllabus will make you know exactly where you are at in the class. Second thing I have learned about is office hours, communicating with my professors on their office hours helped me a lot to understand the strategy they use to teach us the material. Third thing I learned is being quiet and feeling embarrassed to speak up in class will get me no where, not only in university but, in life. I realized that I will have to start making connections and relationships with other students and the professors, even the staffs in general. So, this is some of the important things I have learned so far in my first semester in university, and I am excited to learn more things in the future.
